Premiere was a German origin channel owned by Sky. It was owned by Kirch Group, Bertelsmann and Canal+. The channel started to broadcast in 1991. Here is the famous ident before the movies started, which you can watch by clicking here
By having a ASTRA satellite dish, you would recieve this channel. Sometimes it was free, but most of the time scrambled for non-payers. A really fantastic tv channel, that really felt like a Premium movie channel.
Today Premiere is Sky Cinema channels in Germany.
